Teacher friends if you are in or have been in environments that drain you 😓🤯, that causes you to disconnect from yourself then rest is so important so that you can heal. 💆🏾‍♀️

When you are renewed you’ll be able to reconnect, move forward to ways that allow you to use your gifts and creativity in meaningful ways.

Here’s 6 restorative ways to get rest throughout your work day👇🏾👇🏾

1. Physical rest🦾- Practice stillness, allowing your body to be still without constant motion.
2. Digital rest 👩🏽‍💻- Step outside the school building to get fresh air and sunlight ☀️. Nature heals, soothes, restores, connects.
3. Social rest👥- Connect with those whose presence make you feel energized, refreshed, revived, inspired. Decrease connections that leave you more exhausted and empty.
4. Mental Rest🧠- Take mental breaks to relieve stress. Meditate to focus on Christ, present moment, breath to decrease overthinking and anxiety.
5. Spiritual rest🙏🏾- Recognize the holiness of your life, the meaning and purpose. When you’re clear on these you can stop consuming your mind and time on things that aren’t important.
6. Emotional rest🎭- Energy draining emotions can sap the life out of you. For example worry, do what you have the capacity to do and let go of the things you can’t.
