So I took several months off from candle making but will be starting production again due to an unexpected order that just came in. So now I have to go into production to fulfill it. But the truth is that I needed a long break from candle making because I felt burned out. In order to please others I found myself undercharging. And the candle making supplies were higher than the profit I made off them, so I burned out. Maxed out my credit card paying for all the supplies and not enough profit coming back in. So I gave up for a bit and even considered going out of business as a result. Beeswax is expensive. So are the non toxic fragrance oils I use. This is why my candles are more expensive in the $25-$45 range. I don’t use paraffin and cheap oils like the grocery stores use with their candles. And my products are way more high quality than yankee candle and bath & body. Because I specialize in clean and healthy candles that are non-toxic. Not only that but also the labor since it’s just myself manufacturing the candles. My time is valuable and some of the candles I make take a lot of time. So moving forward this year I will be coming out with a limited supply of candles. If you want clean candles buy from me. If you want unhealthy toxic candles for a lower cost than buy from your local grocery store. Most of them use paraffin mixes because paraffin is cheaper to manufacture and they don’t give a s**t about your health.

Silence doesn’t mean lack of momentum. If anything it means even more. Getting ready to shift in a new direction with my business and with a new team of people working with me. For now I am quiet but a lot is happening behind the scenes. Stay tuned!
