Sometimes it seems like my sellers take it personally when I suggest staging their home.

They've chosen the furniture, painted the walls, and lived their life there.

So when I suggest bringing in staging, it can feel like I'm saying something about their taste in furniture or decorating.

I'm not (I promise).

Staging isn’t about whether the decor is “good.” It’s about helping buyers see themselves in the space.

A home that feels deeply personal to a seller can feel harder for someone else to mentally move into.

When I sold my own house, I staged it too.

Not because I didn’t love it...but because I understand how buyers think because I hear them talk about it every day.
