In this video, I unpack, diagnose, and restore a rare Photophone CP220, an early image-transmission system developed in the 1980s by Image Data Corporation of San Antonio, Texas. Designed to send images over standard phone lines, the Photophone is considered a precursor to modern camera phones way back before image compression was a thing.
