What happens when we stop designing around nature, and start creating with it?
"More Than Human: Making With The Living World" explores new ways of thinking about creativity, design, and the intelligence of natural ecosystems.
Originally developed alongside the in London, this collection invites us to see nature not as a resource - but as a collaborator.

Apotheosis.
Intention, craft, and imagination are what turn materials into objects of meaning. Clay becomes vessel. Fibers weave into textiles. Wood brings forth ritual.
Transformations are everywhere, and our shelves live within those same rhythms.
A bunch of new amazing items found their way into the shop this afternoon - each carrying a story and the quiet evidence of the hands that made them.
Come see what's changed at Creó this week.

They say the only thing promised is change.
Whether it's changes of scenery, changes of heart, or simply a reconfiguring of what's already there - change and growth are intertwined. We are incapable of experiencing one without the other.
All that said, we've been making some changes here at Creó. Our mercantile is growing, and we've expanded our book section to about twice the size as it was before. We established a cozy little reading nook, and also added a bunch of textiles, and thrifted vintage.
Tons of new inventory is coming in over the next week or so. Everything feels exciting, alive, and full of possibility... all thanks to change.

What message are you sending?
We keep the lights on Wednesday-Sunday, but Mondays and Tuesdays are ours. Our days to rest, restock, and reconnect with ourselves before starting a new week of connecting with others.
These are the days we write our own messages. The ones we share, and the ones we keep close.
Whatever message you're sending - we hope it's received well.

Artist Highlight: Tina Zulu // Kimono Zulu
There are artists who collect objects, and then there are artists who reorganize culture through them.
Tina Zulu is a Houston-based creative force working at the intersection of fashion, curation, and cultural storytelling. As the founder of Zulu Creative, she has built a multidisciplinary practice grounded in collaboration, community, and the elevation of independent artists across disciplines.
Her work has been presented across Houston’s cultural landscape through gallery exhibitions, design activations, and institutional presentations, including the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston MFA Shop Trunk Show (2018), where Kimono Zulu was featured in a multi-day presentation of artist collaborations and reimagined vintage textiles. In 2023, her work was also featured in the Rice University Chao Center of Asian Studies Spring Fashion Show, further situating her practice within contemporary dialogues between fashion, heritage, and cultural study.
Through Kimono Zulu, Tina extends this vision into textiles - transforming vintage Japanese kimonos into contemporary works of wearable art. Each piece is hand-selected and thoughtfully reworked with deep respect for its origin, preserving the integrity of the garment while allowing it to evolve into a new form of expression.
The result is not reinvention for novelty’s sake, but translation across time.
These garments carry a rare presence, and the recognition of their quality is immediate. Silks and textiles that hold weight, memory, and movement all at once. Every piece reflects a quiet discipline: nothing overworked, nothing arbitrary, everything intentional.
This collection aligns closely with what we value in the objects we bring into the space:
craft as archive, objects as memory, and design as a form of care.
We are honored to now carry a curated selection of Kimono Zulu pieces in our mercantile at Creó.

Seeking sanctuary.
The dog days of Summer are barking at our door. Why not spend a little time tending to your inner world while the Texas sun does its thing?
Swing by the shop if you're looking to recenter and cool off this weekend.
Sound Salon Vol. 3 Recap 🎶👀
Aurum Son (.son) brought an improvised set that was intense, beautiful, and deeply alive. The kind of sound that doesn’t just move through a place, but moves something within you - clearing space, building energy, and demanding presence.
There was a shared focus in the courtyard that felt rare. Not just passive watching, but active listening. A truly moving, and exciting experience.
This is what Sound Salon is for: moments that pull us back to attention. Back to feeling. Back to connection.
Thank you to everyone who showed up and made that possible! We'll be announcing Sound Salon Vol. 4 soon - but hit us up if you have any recommendations / request for artist you'd like to see perform here in the future.

Celebrate the neighborhood with us!
We're proud to be an official partner of the street festival this weekend. It's a celebration of the people, places, and small businesses that make the Houston, Heights such a vibrant and connected community.
As part of the festival, our shop is participating in the "11th Street Passport", an interactive experience designed to encourage exploration of the neighborhood. Visitors can come collect "stamps" from 14 participating businesses along 11th Street, and each stamp you add to your passport help earn you tickets for the festival raffle.
We believe that spaces have the power to inspire, connect, and transform - and that's what's at the heart of this incredible community event. Big thank you to the I Love 11th Street team for everything you do.
See you this weekend, neighbors!
