Another hot day is in store for Southeast TX with high temperatures in the low to mid 90s with heat indices in the 100s. Scattered showers/storms are expected to develop this afternoon mainly south of I-10, which should bring much needed rain cooled air for some. ☔️

The NWS completed their preliminary damage survey for the tornado from early July 8 on Jamaica Beach. It has been confirmed that a waterspout moved onto land as Beryl's rainbands moved in. This ended up causing EF-1 tornado damage and was on the ground for a little over a mile.
