APRIL 2026 TNT: The Pokemon Battle Throwdown
We’re heading down to Sugar Land for our next Thursday Night Throwdown at the iconic ! This all-ages event will combine coffee, cosplay, and community for an spectacular night.
16-person pro bracket ($10 buy-in) and 16-person amateur bracket ($5 buy-in, for people who have competed 3 or less times), 6pm registration, 7pm first pour, and ONLINE SIGN UPS THROUGH THE LUMA EVENT PAGE! That’s right, we’re now signing up first-come first-serve online, so check out the link through the HTX Coffee Collective linktree in our bio. You can claim an alternate spot as well if the sign ups are full!
Kohiko will be selling sandos from , music provided by Triloby.te, featuring espresso from .coffee and oat milk from .
Come dressed in your best Pokemon trainer attire, as your favorite Pokemon, or simply in the colors of your favorite Pokemon type! We will also be selling Pour Them All cups, which come with a Pokemon booster pack, $3 for one cup or $5 for two cups. We’ll have a limited number of cups, so come early!
Prizes will include a Liwei .welhome milk pitcher and two brewers from Slow Pour, swag from Minor Figures and , ice cream pints from , cash prizes, custom trophies, and a paid spot for the pro and amateur champions at the next San Antonio throwdown in August, sponsored by

Mika and Ninon are the new owners and the best hosts of . They’ve been in Houston for ~6 months, bringing their passion and many talents with them from France. Everything in the cafe from the coffee to the pastries to newly updated interior was crafted by them. Mika studied as a barista under the SCA and Ninon pours her heart into every recipe she’s mastered.
They have a wide variety of house made pastries and desserts and also do custom cakes and catering. They work closely with friends to provide specialty coffee. You can even purchase bags of beans inside.
There is plenty of parking, lots of room to work, ambient lighting, and even outdoor seating!
