If your mental budget for a remodel came from watching someone gut a kitchen on HGTV for $45,000, Troy has been doing this for 30 years and has thoughts on that.
The real number depends on what's in the walls, what the city requires, what your selections actually cost, and a handful of logistics most people don't think about until they're in the middle of a project.
Our new blog covers all of it: what drives the cost, what change orders actually are, and how Greymark gets to a fixed price before a single wall comes down.

When we promise "maximum storage capacity" in your remodeled kitchen, we mean it. π
Meet Jorge (our building designer) and Chelsea (our interior designer) doing some highly official, very serious quality control testing on our latest project site.
We take our craftsmanship seriously, but we never take ourselves too seriously. π οΈβ¨

Taking the βflat layβ very literally. πΎ
An addition isn't just one thing, and the right type depends entirely on your specific property and what problem you're trying to solve.
Some lots have room to build out, while some are better suited to going up. Some problems require a lot of space to solve, while some just need a little or reconfiguration.
Either way, we've got you, and we shared what we think you want to (and should) know about the four most common types of additions we build across Houston, with honest cost ranges and what the timeline really looks like from design through construction.

We are so proud of our Building Designer Jorge Arreola. π
He came home from the TIBD (Texas Institute of Building Design) conference with not one but two awards!
First place for Interior Spaces for the "Grand Coastal Revival" project, specifically that gorgeous, clever wine cellar tucked under the staircase.
Second place for Remodel/Addition for the "Houstonian Highrise" project, a complete renovation of a modern highrise residence.
What makes us especially proud is how different these two projects are from each other. The Grand Coastal Revival is a historic home full of warmth and character, and the Houstonian Highrise is a crisp and modern home, a completely different aesthetic.
That is because we don't have a signature look, we have a signature process, and it shows up differently in every home we touch.
Huge congratulations to Jorge, and thank you to TIBD for putting on a conference that celebrates this craft.
Now someone help us find another shelf. π
