I and a group of friends travelled to an island city on the Gulf Coast of Texas, Galveston, to witness the first sunrise of 2026. Starting the year strong with God's word and prayer next to a large body of water felt more serene than I imagined.

I pray everyone reading has one of the best years yet! Cheers to another journey around the Sun!

I stumbled upon this carnation bouquet (also known as clove pink) in the coffee lounge at my church just last night. I was immediately gobsmacked at how uncomplicated it looks yet pristine and somewhat divine, if you will.

Moments after we finished service, I moved the plant and a white antique shelf I found in the lounge area to a moderately lit room. The wall of the room was painted white, so it perfectly complements the shelf, but more importantly, it helps captivate the essence of the plant in all its glory.
