Fast.

Real fast.

⚡ fast.

Furiously friggin' fast.

Speed kills, they say. They usually mean it in a good way, that speed is an advantage. Can't say that we entirely disagree; speed has often served us well.

⏩ Speed is persuasive.
⏩ Speedy responses close deals.
⏩ Speed hits deadlines.

We ❤ speed.

But speed isn't always good. Sometimes, an entrepreneur needs to

down.

We could say something trite about how "it's the journey, not the destination" or how you have to "stop and appreciate things."

But that's not the point.

The point is:

When you move too fast, you not only miss things, but you start going out of order.

And when you go out of order, you end up wasting time
and money
and opportunities
and growth
and personal development
and lessons you have learned.

You blow right past all of it.

In our market (content strategy), I see it like this:

Prospect wants a piece of content "yesterday."

Is that content the right content?

Maybe.

Or maybe the prospect has pivoted recently. They're trying to "build the car and drive it at the same time."

They need "speed."

So they pay for an article.

It doesn't work.

Why?

Because they moved past strategy, past roadmaps, past analysis and calendars to the end wish: a piece of content.

But if they had

down,

then they would have found that they not only had a more solid foundation for their content...

but also would have had to spend less time getting traction for their content later on.

In other words:

The fastest way to meet their goals
is to

w

down.

Because truthfully...
slow
IS
fast!
