Going through a drive-thru is probably something most people never have to think twice about. But as a deaf person with severe hearing loss, sometimes it can become a complete guessing game.

I wanted to share this because accessibility barriers aren’t always obvious. Sometimes they’re hidden inside the most ordinary parts of everyday life.

After the love and support on my first NBA video, I knew I had to keep this series going.

This time, I experienced my first Houston Astros game as a deaf person to see what accessibility was really like.

From assistive listening devices to closed captions, I wanted to show what helped me enjoy the game and, of course, the one moment that completely caught me off guard. 😂

A huge thank you to the Houston Astros for making accessibility part of the fan experience.

My hope is that these videos help bring awareness while encouraging more deaf and hard of hearing people to get out and experience new things.
