Escrow account considerations
1. Adding escrow payments to your mortgage payment can increase your monthly mortgage payment.
2. Your lender holds your funds until bills are due, so you can't use the money for other purposes.
3. Your monthly mortgage payment may change as taxes and insurance premiums change.

Note: Pay close attention to mail coming from your mortgage company. You will receive notification of a shortage in your escrow account or an overage. If it's a shortage your mortgage payment could increase if it is not paid , if it's an overage your mortgage payment could decrease and your receive a refund.
