"Interior Design's 2021 Best of Year Awards Winner Designed by Formafantasma, Wireline sits somewhere between artistic expression and industrial design- where their latest creation for Flos represents their design ethos and aesthetic values, where functionality meets the unexpected. It's a piece that neatly fits within the studio's universe, where design, social responsibility, and ecology collide. Designers Formafantasma explores the contrast between the industrial feel of rubber and the lightness of glass with Wireline. Wireline is a suspension light that providing diffused light. The diffuser is inside the transparent tubular extruded glass. The cable, available in pink and forest green, is made of rubber."

One of our favorites is the Dipping Light by Marset

"The Dipping Light started out as an experiment – dipping a switched-on light bulb in paint several times – but it became a lamp. The result is layers of colour painted in concentric circles which trap the light, attenuating its intensity. The paint acts as a shade, colouring the light and giving it texture.

Each Dipping glass is created individually, with it’s own character and unique signature. While pieces will be similar, they are not intended to “match”, and this is a deliberate component of the product design. This artisanal process involved makes each lamp unique and exclusive."
