In some countries Rotexians are also present on the Rotary Youth Exchange committee for the District to help provide a younger opinion to the committee. Rotex also plays an important role as social group for past students. This includes organizing functions, reunions or camps to allow students to keep in contact. This allows the students to continue to communicate with their peers and acts to assist with the reverse culture shock on return from exchange.
