Eight years ago, we started with a simple idea:

Build a movement that would stand against human trafficking and exploitation.

Many people assume redM began with the redM wordmark.

It didn’t.

The journey actually began with the M.

For the first two years, we experimented with the M as our primary identity because Movement was always the vision. We even explored versions that incorporated “red” within the M itself.

The challenge was simple.

People couldn’t yet connect the symbol to the story.

They didn’t know the mission.

They didn’t know the organization.

They didn’t know what the M represented.

So the brand evolved.

The redM wordmark became a bridge between the movement and the audience. It helped people connect a name to a mission. It helped us build trust, awareness, and a foundation for growth.

Over the next six years, that bridge served its purpose.

What began as a small movement has grown into a community of advocates, survivors, volunteers, churches, businesses, educators, and leaders committed to ending exploitation.

Today, we are preparing for the next chapter.

Through new partnerships, community activations, and a national PSA campaign, we are building for an audience measured in the millions.

As we enter that season, we are introducing an evolution of our visual identity.

Not a rebrand.

Not a new mission.

An evolution.

In many ways, a return to where we started.

The mission remains unchanged.

The values remain unchanged.

The commitment remains unchanged.

But after eight years, we believe the movement is ready to carry more of the meaning that was always there.

The M still stands for what it always has:

Movement.

And the movement is just getting started.
