Yesterday in New Orleans, we were joined by allies & community members to tell the city to Say No to the Omni Deal until developers make clear how the project will cost the people of New Orleans.

👀 The hearing on the Omni Deal was deferred to 📅June 18th.

We’ll be back! ✊
The proposed Omni project would give hundreds of millions in taxes away to the developers over 45 years while residents deal with skyrocketing cost of living and city and state budgets face projected shortfalls.

Meanwhile, developers hope to get a property tax agreement to lower their financial payments to the city, buy & decommission a street, and get a huge benefit in the form a special zoning bonus that lets them build more than twice what’s allowed.

should say NO to the Omni deal until we know what ALL the costs are. We deserve to not be left in the dark.

🚨 ARAMARK HAS NO UNION CONTRACT! 🚨

As Catering and Food Service Workers at the Washington Convention Center, we are proud to serve the guests of the 2026 Leukemia Ball. But right now, we are working without a contract with our employer, Aramark. We are fighting for a fair contract, including the right to work overtime hours before nonunion temps, good raises to keep up with the rising cost of living, fair scheduling and staffing levels, and respect and accountability from management. Aramark: respect your workers!
