A Scottish Celebration of the Winter Solstice
Villagers in 18th century Scotland celebrate their most important Winter festival, Hogmanay (New Year's) with traditional ballads, Christmas hymns, children's game-songs, lively jigs, reels and bagpipe tunes, Auld Lang Syne, and the Winter Solstice Guisers' Play, in which the Scottish warrior-hero, Galoshens, battles the evil Black Knight.

Revels Houston presents The Christmas Revels: A Scottish Celebration of the Winter Solstice. We are searching for singers to try out to be members of both the adult and children's choruses for its 32nd Christmas Revels Winter Solstice production.
Please come prepared to sing alone and with a mixed group, but formal voice training is not a requirement. Ability to read music is a plus.

Saturday August 16, 10AM-12PM
Saturday August 23, 10AM-12PM
Sunday August 24, 1-3PM
Required weekly rehearsals on Monday nights and every 3rd Saturday, September through performance week.
