New statement from the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office and Sheriff Bo Stallman about the shooting death of John Mendoza Jr.

NOTE: We’ve made multiple requests for basic information, including reason for the initial traffic stop and the deputy’s name and file. I’ve also requested an on-camera interview with the sheriff.

Each time, the sheriff’s office has said ‘no’ citing the investigation even though this is information the department can release.

On this , we remember those men and women who paid the ultimate price for our freedoms.
