I began working at the age of 13 doing janitorial work at the factory where my grandmother worked at so that I could buy school clothes. Once divorced at the age of 23, I realized that I could not raise a family making $5.00 per hour, and went back to college, leading to better employment opportunities. I raised 2 children as a single mother, while working 2-3 jobs, and attending college full time
, ultimately becoming an entrepreneur operating youth programs for gang/drug involved and homeless youth, and now small business development and marketing consulting. TRANSPARENCY
Houston is a dynamic city, but we can do better, my vision is that of a fiscally sound city, I am opposed to wasteful spending and I will fight for transparency in all city departments,
INFRASTRUCTURE
I will aggressively monitor the progress of strengthening our infrastructure: Water, Sewer, and Drainage Systems
SAFER COMMUNITIES
I will aggressively support efforts to increase our law enforcement personnel and to secure needed resources to increase public safety efforts
QUALITY OF LIFE
I will aggressively tackle the issues that impact our quality of life by utilizing my 20 years of experience in community assessment. It is my personal experiences, my boots-on-the-ground community experience, my business development experience, and my knowledge of city departments and operations that make me the most qualified candidate to be your next City Council Member for District H. I will be a voice for you at City Council, and I will fight for you and your family's future just as hard as I fought for mine.
