Channel counts have been going up and up. There are some typical limits, often around 64 channels, and then add audience mics and the occasional submix. Dante channel counts come in bit sized jumps. So now we offer channel counts from one to 128 and the capacity to upgrade to 256. The Thunderbolt PCIe chassis has a Focusrite RedNet PCIeNX card and 8TB of Gen4 NVME storage. The chassis is processor agnostic, illustrated above with a PC and just as happy with a Mac. There is also an additional NIC for non-Dante needs.

In June of 2018, Julye Newlin Productions hired Citizen Doug to provide location sound mixing for two days. We met Rebecca Carpenter, storied director of “Requiem For a Running Back” at her college friend’s house in the third ward. Constance Adams had asked Rebecca to film her final statements on an adventurous life. Constance was an architect for NASA and was responsible for significant orbital human spaces for the International Space Station and many other projects. Four days after the interviews, Constance died of cancer.
