Good news for anyone dreaming of homeownership – mortgage rates on 30-year fixed loans are hovering around 6% right now (averaging about 6.21% as of mid-December)! That’s down a bit from earlier this year and even lower than last year at this time. Experts are forecasting rates could drift even lower into the low-6% or possibly sub-6% range by the end of 2026. 😊
With rates easing and a recent survey showing that 88% of prospective buyers are planning to jump into the market next year, it feels like 2026 could be a great time to make that move!
