How to Meditate If When You Have No Idea Where to Start
1. Find a comfortable place to sit or lie down. You don't need to be in lotus position or anything like that - just make sure you're comfortable and won't be distracted by your surroundings.
2. Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. Inhale slowly through your nose, allowing your belly to expand. Exhale slowly through your mouth. Repeat several times.
3. Focus on your breath. As you inhale and exhale, pay attention to the sensations of your breath moving in and out of your body. Don't try to control your breath - just let it flow naturally.
4. If your mind wanders, that's okay! Just gently bring your attention back to your breath. Meditation is not about clearing your mind completely - it's about training yourself to focus and become more aware of the present moment.
5. Drink calming tea. Chamomile, lavender, and lemon balm are all great choices. .
