At the 2014 National Speleological Society - Cave Diving Section Workshop in Lake City, Florida, two of my former cave diving students, Matvei Orsak and Aiar Ghelber, were honored by being awarded the NSS-CDS Life Safety Award.
Mat and Aiar effected a rescue and revived an unresponsive diver at Wes Skiles Peacock Springs State Park in Florida on February 15th, 2014.
This photo was taken at the event when the awards were presented. This is only the third time this award has been presented. Congratulations, Mat and Aiar!
