🌟 Member Spotlight: The Mexican American Museum of Texas

The Mexican American Museum of Texas is dedicated to preserving and sharing the stories, cultures, and contributions of Mexican Americans from every region of Texas. Through engaging exhibits, educational programs, and community partnerships, the Museum explores the people and events that have helped shape our state's rich and diverse history.

This past weekend, THF had the opportunity to visit the Museum's newest traveling exhibit, "Spanish Texas During the American Revolution Life & Legacy: 1775-1783," and to present a grant that supported its development. On display through July 31 at the Dallas Public Library, the exhibit highlights the often-overlooked role of Spanish Texas in the American Revolution while offering a glimpse into everyday Tejano life during the late eighteenth century.

🎤 THF Board Member Don Frazier will be speaking at the Dallas Historical Society this Thursday, sharing insights into E Pluribus Texas, the innovative documentary series produced by The Texas Center at Schreiner University.

Through nearly 250 short episodes, the series explores the history, character, and values that continue to shape Texas today.

The evening begins with a VIP reception hosted by THF Board Member Shannon Wilson Callewart, followed by Don's presentation at the Hall of State in Fair Park. Guests will also have the opportunity to view DECLARATIONS: America & Texas Independence, a special exhibition featuring some of the nation's most significant founding documents and historical treasures.
