He continued to impress with Taxi Driver (1976), Raging Bull (1980 – Best Actor Oscar), Goodfellas, Casino, Heat, The Irishman (2019), and Killers of the Flower Moon (2023). CHIEF TWO MOON participated in the Battle of Little Big Horn on June 25, 1876. Miles City (Montana) photographer L.A. Huffman and Two Moon became friends after the surrender of the Chief's Cheyenne band in 1877. This photo was taken on the 25th anniversary of the battle. The print was colored by hand in Huffman’s studio long before color film was available.

Chief Two Moon traveled several times to Washington to advocate for better conditions on Montana’s Northern Cheyenne Reservation. In 1914, Two Moon met with President Woodrow Wilson. Two Moon died in 1917, before American Indians were granted citizenship and the right to vote. The print was a hand-colored collotype, a print outsourced by Huffman from a commercial printer. Huffman sold so many of prints that he had stencils for coloring portions of the image with an air brush. Commentary and a bit of Photoshop sharpening of image by Gary Coffrin.

Beyond the stage, Taboo’s 2016 anthem “Stand Up / Stand N Rock” earned a Native American Music Award for its solidarity with the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe. As an ambassador for health, education, and indigenous rights, he mentors youth and champions cultural preservation—continuing to inspire a new generation of artists.

Chief Dan George (born Geswanouth Slahoot, July 24, 1899 – Tsleil-Waututh Nation, Canada) was a remarkable actor, poet, writer, and spiritual leader of Indigenous heritage.
He rose to fame with his unforgettable role as Old Lodge Skins in Little Big Man (1970), earning him an Oscar nomination – the first ever for an Indigenous Canadian actor.

SEEIN’ SANTA was perhaps Charlie Russell’s most jovial work, 1910. The horse had been startled. You can see the shocked rider's exhalation into the cold air ... and the liquor bottle in his right pocket. Russell knew cold winters, having worked as a trapper and as a cowhand in Montana during the 1880s.
