As we gather with family and friends this Independence Day, there is an added sense of significance to this year's celebration.

July 4, 2026 marks the nation’s 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence—a historic milestone that invites us to reflect on where we've been, appreciate the freedoms and opportunities we enjoy today, and look ahead to the future we hope to create for generations to come.

While much has changed since 1776, the values that inspired our nation's founding—freedom, opportunity, perseverance, innovation, and entrepreneurship—continue to shape the American story.

Our history is one of builders, dreamers, innovators, and risk-takers. Generation after generation, people have pursued new ideas, started businesses, created opportunities, overcome challenges, and worked to leave something better for those who would follow. The ability to envision a brighter future and take meaningful steps toward it remains one of our nation's greatest strengths.

In our work every day here at Winstone Wealth Partners, we are reminded that the most meaningful accomplishments rarely happen overnight. Whether building a nation, growing a business, raising a family, or pursuing financial goals, lasting success is often the result of thoughtful planning, patience, and a commitment to future generations.

With that in mind, we hope you enjoy a safe and memorable holiday weekend and take a moment to appreciate this unique chapter in our nation's history as we begin the countdown to America's 250th birthday.

From all of us at Winstone Wealth Partners, Happy Fourth of July!

One of the things that makes our team work well is that everyone knows their role.

We collaborate constantly, but we're not all doing the same job. Each person brings a different skill set, perspective, and area of responsibility to the client experience. While our clients may interact with some team members more than others, every role plays an important part in helping serve clients well.

To give you a look behind the scenes at how our team is structured and what each person contributes, we recently asked each member of our team to describe their role in one sentence.

Here's what Antonino Green, Client Service Associate, had to say:

"As Client Service Associate, I help clients feel taken care of from their very first interaction with our team, whether they're calling with a question, visiting our office, or reaching out for support."

For many clients, Antonino is one of the first voices they'll hear on the phone and one of the first faces they'll see when they walk through our doors. He helps keep things running smoothly behind the scenes, coordinates client needs, and ensures every interaction reflects the level of service and hospitality we strive to provide.

What happens when a parent’s health suddenly changes… and no one knows where anything is? How do you support aging parents while still honoring their independence, wishes, and dignity?

In this episode of The Green Zone Podcast, co-hosts Jeff Green and Lauren Smith discuss one of the most emotional (and most avoided) areas of financial planning: preparing for aging parents, caregiving responsibilities, and difficult future decisions before a crisis happens.

Together they discuss:

➡️ Why “the best time is right now” when it comes to family financial conversations

➡️ Important estate planning documents families often overlook

➡️ How beneficiary designations can override a will

➡️ How to organize financial information before an emergency

➡️ Common financial risks aging parents face, including scams and missed bills

➡️ Questions families should ask about long-term care, independence, and quality of life

➡️ The emotional and logistical realities of becoming a caregiver

➡️ Practical ways adult children can support aging parents without “taking over”

➡️ Why long-term care insurance may play an important role in a family’s plan

Whether you’re helping aging parents today or simply thinking ahead for your own future, this episode offers practical guidance and compassionate perspective on conversations many families know they need to have but often delay for too long.
