The August STEM social mixer was a success, highlighted by the presence of esteemed guests: our guest speaker, Dr. Stephanie P. Vega; Dr. Ana Imelda Medrano, a recipient of the Outstanding Women in Science award 2023; and the Chairman of American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Stephen Vasconi. Throughout the evening, engaging discussions centered on pivotal topics such as early career decisions and internships. These conversations not only fostered an environment of open dialogue but also provided a supportive platform for graduate students to share their unique experiences and challenges.
