In our Eastertide gatherings we have been caught up into the reality that in a world of death dealing there is a sound that the dead do hear, a voice that moves them. It is the same voice of creation that said let there be light that now says “wake up all you dead and live!” God doesn’t merely offer institutional reform. God is at work in the world to make all things new. All things.

Come to the table. There is room for you.

As a people who refuse to give way to despair. We feast.
We enjoy. We celebrate the reality that God is making all
things new.

The tomb is empty.
The grave is robbed.
The Risen Christ is our King.
And we are here — alive, together, overflowing with
hope.

So raise your glass.
He is risen.
He is risen indeed.
