Alan Jackson made a rare television appearance on May 24, 2026, during the National Memorial Day Concert, honoring U.S. military personnel and veterans. He performed his Grammy Award-winning song "Where Were You (When The World Stopped Turning)" in a pre-recorded segment from the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. This marked his second performance for the National Memorial Day Concert, following his 2021 appearance.
Jackson's participation in this event is particularly significant as he approaches his final concert on June 27, 2026, at Nashville's Nissan Stadium, due to his battle with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease.
The National Memorial Day Concert, hosted by Joe Mantegna and Gary Sinise, honors 250 years of military service and sacrifice in the United States. The 2026 concert featured performances by artists such as Mickey Guyton, Jamey Johnson, and Andy Grammer, and was broadcast live from the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol.
Jackson's involvement in this event underscores his longstanding support for veterans and military families, reflecting his deep patriotism and commitment to honoring those who have served.

During the final night of Musgraves’ sold-out run at Gruene Hall, Lambert surprised the crowd by joining her onstage for “Horses and Divorces.”
Fans immediately flooded TikTok, Instagram, and Reddit with clips from the performance. Online reactions described it as a “full-circle moment,” “country music healing,” and one of the most unexpected collaborations of the year.
For years, fans believed there was tension between Kacey Musgraves and Miranda Lambert dating back to the “Mama’s Broken Heart” era in the early 2010s.
Now, the two Texas stars have recorded a duet together, publicly acknowledged their past issues, and just performed together live for the first time.
One of the moments fueling the buzz came when Lambert reportedly told the crowd:
“Tonight we bury the hatchet here in Gruene Hall.”
Musgraves also joked onstage about the pair’s complicated history, which fans saw as proof the feud is genuinely behind them.
Their song “Horses and Divorces” appears on Musgraves’ new album Middle of Nowhere, which has been praised for returning to a more Texas-country sound.
The collaboration is especially meaningful because both artists are major Texas country figures, known for strong personalities,
and central to the modern evolution of women in country music.
