Marketing is usually confused with Publicity. Publicity doesn’t convey a specific message, it is just the idea of showing presence/existing. Marketing means you know your target audience, you have done researches and you know how to talk to your audience about your specifics : products or services.
Publicity vs Marketing : “People talk about you... in a good or bad way” vs “People gave you a good review because you have mastered your business”.
