The Altar-Umoja Community

We have two extremely important events the next two weeks, and we want to make sure that you do not miss them!

This coming Sunday, we are gathering West Campus together as one body as we discuss the future of the church. We'll have our Sunday School hour at 9, a combined service of Traditional, The Source Houston, and The Altar-Umoja Community in Hinson Chapel at 10, and then a presentation and Q&A on the plan from the Strategic Planning committee on the next steps for the future of our church.

Next Sunday, we'll be hosting a church conference downtown, and in order to make sure that everyone from both campuses has a chance to fully take part, we will be having All Church Combined Worship that morning! All of the West Sunday schools will be hosted downtown during the 9:45 Sunday School hour, we'll join together for a service at 11 featuring contributions by all of our worshiping communities, and then hold a church conference in the Downtown Sanctuary right after worship.

We have two meetings in two locations over the next two weeks, but both meetings have the same purpose: to update the congregation on strategic plans for the future of the church, and give members the opportunities to ask questions.

We will be holding the first presentation this Sunday Downtown in the Fellowship Hall at noon after the close of the worship service, and the next presentation the following Sunday at 11:00 a.m. in Stansbury.

To make sure everyone is able to attend the meeting, we will be holding one combined worship service in the West Campus Chapel at 10:00 AM, allowing all members from West Traditional, The Source, and Altar-Umoja a chance to worship together before joining the presentation immediately afterwards.

We have many challenges to navigate as we begin this new year, but even more opportunities are on the horizon. Come and hear what God has in store for us.
