Why do I love creating content for my clients but struggle with my own?
Any fellow social media business owners who can relate?
I kept coming back to this question until I finally figured it out: with clients I'm purely in problem-solving mode. With my own content, I'm the client and the strategist at the same time, and that can kill the creative flow.
There's also a vulnerability layer that just comes with it. This one reflects me and my business.
And let's be honest, client work takes priority. I pour my best creative energy there, and by the time I get to my own content, the tank is empty.
So here's what I'm slowly applying to my own business:
✨ Treat yourself like a client: Give yourself an actual brief.
✨ Define your audience, pillars, and voice once, so you're not reinventing it every time.
✨ Delegate where you can. Your time is best spent where it actually matters.
It frees you up to have fun with it again.
You just paused your scroll for this intermission. Why? Because slow, beautiful, deliberate content naturally commands attention.
Yet, most businesses are trapped creating the exact opposite: fast brain content.
It’s no wonder our brains are so tired 😮💨.
There's a time and place for fast brain content. But if you're feeling exhausted, here's why: most business owners are chasing quick tips, hacks, and exhausting trends. And let me tell you, it's just as tiring to create as it is to consume.
It gets views and saves, but nothing really comes from it. Why? Because people remember the post, but they don't remember you.
Fast brain content gives a quick dopamine hit, then vanishes.
Slow brain content makes people pause. It shifts their perspective and builds trust.
