Breakaway Speed Softball

BreakAway is growing our softball organization!

We are looking for competitive players for our 12u and 14u Select teams who are motivated and are willing to put the time, commitment, and work in to be the best athlete they can be! We will have high expectations and requirements for ALL athletes. We look at all aspects of the athlete, from attitude to athletic ability and even how you perform in the classroom.

A little bit about BreakAway softball (if you don’t already know) is that we started our program in 2014 as a 14u team and gradually moved up each couple of year. We now have an 18u team which has been super successful. One hundred percent of our athletes who graduate with us have gone to play college ball at a school they desired. Throughout the years we have gotten over $15.6 Million in scholarships for our players. We pride ourselves in grades, manners, and hard work ethic. Unlike most teams, we do NOT have parent coaches on our team as it eliminates “favorites” or “daddy ball”. Each athlete will have chances to learn and develop their skills as well as EARN their playing time. We have dedicated professional coaches who have YEARS of experience as well as playing high level college ball.

So why start back at the 12u and 14u age? We want to be able to grow these young ladies through a program of consistent and knowledgeable coaching. We are finding way too many girls at the 16u and 18u level who have never been coached properly as a young tween and are trying to play catch up on basics at a much older age. Whether you know you want to play college ball or just genuinely want to compete and get better, this is the team for you.

The benefits of being a BreakAway player include a team workout weekly run by one of our elite trainers (even when its “off” season), access to the cages, and being apart of a team that is more like a second family.

The softball staff includes:

· Randy Lusby – Manager of all coaches and directs the instructional hitting and fielding for all teams. Hitting/Slapping coach. Head coach of 18u.
· Kristin Lusby-Stewart (University of Houston) - Manager of the organization as well as slapping/hitting, fielding, and pitching coach. Coach for 12u & 14u.
· Kelli Montgomery (University of Houston) - Hitting and fielding coach. Coach for 12u & 14u.
· Lily Hatcher (Lee University) - Fielding coach. Coach for 12u.
· Kaylee Garner (TX State & Southern Arkansas) - Pitching coach. Coach for 18u
