CONGRATULATIONS to .space on being selected by NASA today as one of two providers of a crewed lunar rover for the Artemis program! It's been a joy to be a small part of the Astrolab team over the last two years, helping them share their engineering story of developing lunar rovers for the Artemis generation, and I'm so happy to see them selected alongside by NASA today.
The team has grown SO MUCH since I started working with them in April 2024, and its truly been a joy to do everything from shoot video of their rovers as they were tested in person by astronauts at Johnson Space Center, interview their team as FLIP rover flight hardware took shape in the clean room, and of course, take their FLEX rover for a drive.
Huge congratulations to all the companies that received NASA awards today. Next stop, the Moon!
More people need to know about the World Cup space wager of 2014! 😂 Love when the international parts of the International Space Station get a chance to shine like this.
Waiting to see if and have a chance to reprise any wagers this year. Steve is now retired from NASA but I’m sure he’s welcome to join in too!
