The Magic Man

Most people for whom I've performed for know that I perform what's called, Close-Up Magic or commonly known as Street Magic. Not a HUGE fan of Stage Magic. Don't get me wrong I applaud those who perform Stage shows; it took them many years to perfect their craft as it has for me. However, not everyone in the audience gets to come up onstage and inspect the device or props that they will be using. Also, those 2 people who do get called on stage to inspect, ***spoiler alert*** normally work for the magician. So tell me, what type of magic performances do you like and do you have any favorite performers? One of my ALL-TIME favorites is a man named Bill Malone. Search 'Sam the Bellhop Bill Malone' on youtube and you'll see why I love this guy. He doesn't let things get in the way of him being, well watch the video and you'll see he has a lot going against him. But, he is a world renowned magician.

So with the New Year just around the corner, I figured I would take a little bit different approach to getting my name out there. I will be going to at least one Mom-n-Pop type restaurant a week and doing magic for the waiter/waitress, who will in turn get others, who will in turn get the manager over to my table. I will save my best magic for the manager and try to lock in a date and time for me to come in and entertain the guests as they wait on their food. I know it may seem like small potatoes, but this is how most of your more famous magicians have made their starts. So, why mess with a successful recipe?
