Communication is MORE than words 💜 In this moment eye gaze/contact became a request for “more tickles!” 👀 ✨ When we pause, observe, and respond we teach children that their communication matters as well as increase eye contact. ⭐️ Every form of communication deserves to be honored. Have you ever noticed your child looking at you for access to something? Have you seen your child communicate this way before?

It’s Tuesday!!! And we are continuing our quick tips on communication! Communication is more that vocal speech 💙 A child does not have to use words to communicate their wants and needs. In this moment, eye gaze 👀 became a powerful mand for “more tickles” Once the action of tickles stopped the listener waited for the child to look and then gave more tickles! ⭐️. In Verbal Behavior, we focus on FUNTIONAL communication, helping children learn that their communication matters and gets meaningful results. every form of communication deserves to be honored. ⭐️ Rising Stars ABA
