Operation Safe Shield - Gulf Coast Chapter

I am beyond excited that HB2217, authored by our very own, Trey Wharton for Texas House District 12 has passed both the Texas House and the Texas Senate and is heading to the Governor's desk. Thanks to Paul Dyson and the other members of the House for helping and a special Thank You to Senator Brent Hagenbuch for sponsoring the bill in the Senate. This legislation will create a special grant program to allow local law enforcement departments across Texas to obtain life saving bullet resistant glass and door panels in their patrol cars. Operation Safe Shield has been working hard to protect the law enforcement officers and deputies across the Brazos Valley and we have been advocating deligently to provide this technology to ALL law enforcement. Thank You to everyone that has been a part of supporting us over the past 3 years. The hard work has paid off knowing that lives will be saved!!
