Lipscomb Turnings

I just have to share this unique lamp Ward designed and made! It started with wanting to do something with the cam shaft from his truck. For the base, he used some wood from his dad (I think from his backyard), cut it with the help of a neighbor, and filled it with epoxy resin. He then made it into the size and shape he wanted on the lathe. He didn’t know what he wanted to do for a shade, but then came up with gluing together two car air filters. Colton 3-D printed the Chevy emblem to glue on the base. I have to say it turned out pretty awesome and makes a cool garage lamp!

This was a fun commissioned project!
