JOIN US TOMORROW
As we prepare for the closing of Marcus John Guillory’s exhibition not SOFT SPOKEN this Friday, November 7 at 6 PM, we acknowledge the depth and clarity of the work he has brought into our space at ART IS BOND.
Through bold, text-based pieces that intertwine memory, language, and mysticism, Guillory examines the systems that govern speech, silence, and power. His practice is grounded in Southern vernacular and Black spiritual traditions, offering a powerful meditation on textual voice as both form and intention.
We will close the exhibition with an artist talk moderated by John D. Tucker, M.A. (aka “Dr. Teeth”), creating space for dialogue around the themes and tensions present in this body of work.
Thank you to everyone who has visited and supported the exhibition. We look forward to gathering for this final conversation.
