💫 My Business Plan? Plot Twist! (How I Became a Bookkeeper by Accident, with Kids & a Pup in Tow!) 🐾

When I first started out, my goal was simple: learn accounting. I was happily plugging away, doing a free internship in Colorado, focused 100% on helping my mentor run her CPA business. Running my own business? With two little ones and a crazy puppy demanding attention? Definitely not on my radar! 🙅‍♀️

Then, the Lord had other plans.

A potential client reached out, ready to hire me as their bookkeeper. I tried everything to push them away! "I don't have a business! I'm just learning! And I have tiny humans and a furry tornado at home!" But the call was clear: Nope. You are taking this person on.

And just like that, Absolute Bookkeeping Services was born! ✨

Suddenly, I was deep in the trenches: countless hours of training, pulling my hair out over complex accounts (often with a toddler on my lap or a puppy trying to "help"), and turning fear into foundation. It was the messy, amazing start to a journey I never planned.

It’s amazing what we’re called to do. My "accidental" start means I appreciate the journey and the value of a clean book (and a good night's sleep!) more than anyone. Today, every clean-up and strategy session is fueled by that unexpected calling, knowing I'm building something special for my family.
