These tips will help keep you warm if you have lost power during the winter freeze
Gather your family to ONE room. Effectively, this will trap your body heat into one room so that it may be shared between your family and keep everybody more comfortable
Pile up in extra clothes and blankets. This is the same concept. If your power is out and you do not have a heater, do NOT hesitate to pull out your extra sheets, blankets and clothes to stay warm in. Yes, it will look silly. Yes, you will be warm
Use alternative heat sources such as candles or your fireplace. When confined to a small area and following the other tips above, the heat put off by even a single candle could provide tremendous comfort to your loved ones.
Visit a public building such as your local library. Public buildings may still have power and could keep your family warm during the freeze.
Last but not least, be neighborly. We are all in this together. If your neighbors lost power, please allow them to share your company and likewise, do not hesitate to call upon your friends and neighbors for help you.
Please keep everybody warm and safe by sharing these tips with your friends

If you notice this happening in your house, it is highly recommended to turn off the main water supply to your house and have a plumber evaluate your home when the freeze is done to ensure there are no cracked pipes and prevent major water damage when the pipes thaw out.
