Life is unpredictable, but one thing is certain: we must find joy in small moments and prioritize self-care.

As a critical care PA, I've learned the importance of finding happiness in the smallest moments and taking time off to recharge.

Let's uplift each other and find solutions to decrease industry burnout. Today, take a moment to spread kindness and joy.

Today, go the extra minute to make someone's day. I’m always happy to grab a warm blanket, a cup of ice, help to reposition or ask 18,000 questions to figure out just what that a vented patient is requesting.

It's the little things that truly matter.

Then go home, take a walk, hug your fur baby, hug your family, and feel refreshed to tomorrow, leading by example.

FDA Finalizes Move to Recommend Individual Risk Assessment to Determine Eligibility for Blood Donations 05/19/2023

For a long time, the FDA prevented men who have s*x with other men and women who have s*x with men seeking men from donating blood. This policy was seen as discriminatory, and the FDA has gradually eased the restrictions over the past decade. The new approach involves a targeted questionnaire about an individual's s*xual history. This could considerably increase our nation's blood supply!

Imposter Syndrome can cause you to doubt your abilities and accomplishments.
Those experiencing imposter syndrome may believe that they have deceived others into thinking that they are competent and that they will eventually be exposed as fraud.

Imposter syndrome can affect anyone, regardless of their level of expertise or experience. It is commonly experienced by high-achievers and professionals in fields where there is a high level of competition and pressure to succeed.

The causes of imposter syndrome are complex and can include a combination of factors such as early life experiences, personality traits, and societal expectations. People who have experienced discrimination or who are underrepresented in their field may be more susceptible to imposter syndrome. Remember you belong just as much as the next person. We have to build ourselves up because we will always have negativity trying to knock us down.

The effects of imposter syndrome can be detrimental, leading to feelings of anxiety, depression, and burnout. It can also result in a lack of self-confidence, a fear of failure, and difficulty accepting praise or recognition.

I am 100% guilty of this. I use motivational quotes, surround myself with positive people, and give myself grace. Be kind to yourself and allow your inner voice to develop into a positive and supportive part of you!

I have identified my strengths and when I am feeling unworthy, I remind myself of my accomplishments, talents, and skills to provide self-assurance!

There is so much I want to achieve. Setting realistic goals by breaking the big ones into small ones helps me along the way to have small wins! This continues to give me self-confidence along the way! Always celebrate your successes no matter how small they may seem.

My favorite part of all is SELF-CARE! Taking time to do something you love that makes you feel good gives you the reset you need to see your true self πŸ’•

So always remember YOU ARE NOT AN IMPOSTER πŸ™‚
