421” LS almost ready for dyno time 💻
This power plant was built and spec’d almost 10 years ago so it was time for a freshen and few upgrades .Can’t wait to get this strapped down on the dyno and see what she puts down with a ProCharger P1X.
- COLA 4.125” Stroke crankshaft
- Eagle 6.125” H-Beam rods with arp 2000 rod bolts
- Custom Diamond 4.030” Pistons
- Total Seal Gas ported AP series rings
- Trend Performance Products Heavy wall .225 wrist pins and 3/8 .135” wall pushrods
- Bullet Racing Cams 247/258 .649”/.649” 114LSA
- Houston Performance Coatings, LLC Skirt coating and thermal coating on the crowns

From now on I’ll be billing for troubleshooting engine problems unless I machined and assembled the WHOLE LONG BLOCK .
Tired of fixing everyone’s else’s mistakes, and mishaps.
Also if I’m brought a engine to repair, after I had previously quoted you for the same build . There will be a 15-20 % labor rate increase on all machine work .

We take pride in our craftsmanship here at LRE .We spend hours on blocks in just prep work before we even start machining. So Just because someone has a ridge reamer and a flex hone does not qualify them as engine builders .
With that being said here’s a clip of some of the prep work we do before we start honing .
By this time block is already squared decked with our BHJ decktru fixture to ensure our torque plates have a good flat surface to clamp to.
All blocks get the headbolts holes chased,
And a Torque plate is used with replicate hardware and gaskets it will be operating with .
Little idle clip of that SBF with posted earlier.
She sounds real healthy 🔥
