ConnectGen is wholly-owned by Repsol, a global multi-energy company that leads the energy transition and has set itself the goal of being zero net emissions by 2050. ConnectGen is developing a large-scale wind power project in southeastern Albany County near Highway 287 outside of Tie Siding. Once operational, the Rail Tie Wind Project will generate enough low-cost, clean energy to power over 180,000 American homes annually.

We are excited to announce the winners of ConnectGen's annual Sustainable Future Scholarship, which is awarded to a graduating senior in Albany County who will pursue further education to address climate change and other environmental challenges. This year we selected two well-deserving winners – Thomas Faber will be studying International Studies at University of Wyoming and Isabel Naschold will be studying Environmental Economics at Colorado State University.
