Something a little different...

With my daughter home from college for the break, we got to talking about music, and I decided to go back and remix and remaster this cover we did together a couple of years ago.

To me, this is one of the saddest songs ever recorded. It's my favorite track off of "Nevermind" and is easily my favorite Nirvana song.

ROC is my little solo side-project. Hope Jason and Justin don't mind me posting it on our band page!

I did my best musically, and vocally. Really, Sydney's vocals are the high point of this track. She sang beautifully and really captured the plaintive mood of the song.

To celebrate our release last week, as well as the Animated Gods side project going live, I've (Joe, the bassist) updated our Deeper Underground playlist. It is mostly all within our genre save for two exceptions. IMO, these are all personal favorites of mine. I had to leave some out to keep the playlist realistic in length. Link will be in the comments, but let's tag the featured artists!

Symetria - Another local (to us) band I recently heard on the radio who I absolutely can't get enough of. For real, these guys are bleeping awesome. Next-level good.

Animated Gods - Pat and my side project with Mark from Garden of Alice & My New Sound Addiction

Stolen From The Sky - Adam is, well, maybe the best musician I've come across. Also a nice guy who WILL drink beer with me over zoom calls. He obviously gets bonus points.

Lake Effect WI - A terrific band who is probably a song or two away from making it huge. Just awesome stuff.

Tension Splash - I actually changed out one of their great songs for another. Another band who doesn't miss. Insanely talented group.

RedPrint - I'm not jealous of their bassist having awesome riffs, YOU'RE JEALOUS!!!! Seriously, top to bottom a tremendous band with catchy hooks, riffs and fills.

Finding Parnell Band - One of my favorite songs of the last 12 months. COME BACK TO US!!!

Multivariate Outliers - Kevin, hope all is well, but you guys put out an absolutely delightful, genre-blending banger. Also, come back!

The Steve Klatt Project - Somehow an underrated talent. Steve can do it all. An absolute gem. Had a hard time choosing one.

The Flying Beets - David is one of the kindest folk I've got to interact with in this community, but also as awesome? Their music... Nathan Waller Music can f'ing sing and don't get me started on the fact their drummer was the... (I will avoid lore dump here)

Raegan Graves Music - Muscle Shoals was one of my favorite "not our genre" tracks the last 12 months, but we're featuring her new one now. Kid is an absolute star and she's making all us old folk look bad!

Stefski & Hutch - These guys are awesome and this specific track is an absolute ear worm (the good kind).

My New Sound Addiction - My wife heard this song a few months ago and asked if Mark was handsome. A testimonial!

The Kazoo Club - What you get when Pat asks if Adam used a kazoo in a STS song? Myself, Mark and Adam taking an inside joke way too far.

KOSTIGAN - Lots of us. I mean, 5 of our 6 songs bc well yeah. Hopefully you like it.
