Let me be transparent.

I grew up believing that God didn’t create everyone to be wealthy.

Yes. I heard over and over growing up that wealth was only “for certain people.”

So that belief shaped my relationship with wealth —
and even my desire for it.

I didn’t reject wealth.
I just never expected it.

But when I started studying Scripture for myself, I realized something:
God never commands His children to pursue lack.
He commands us to pursue Him.

Scripture says:
“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places in Christ.” — Epistle to the Ephesians 1:3

In Christ, I am not lacking.
I am already blessed.

And it also says:
“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.” — 3 John 1:2

Prosperity is not greed.
It is wholeness.
It is provision with purpose.

Yes — the love of money is dangerous (1 Timothy 6:10). Then again wealth is not limited to money alone.
But where does Scripture command us to glorify lack?

The mindset of not expecting increase will show up everywhere:
• In how we think
• In how we pray
• In how we plan
• In how we invest
• Even in how we carry ourselves

Lack/Poverty is not a christian's virtue
Modesty is not mediocrity.
Holiness is not poverty.
Stewardship honors God.

Let’s have an honest conversation:
Did your upbringing shape your expectations about wealth?

Then vs Now — only God.

Since the day I surrendered my life fully to Jesus, I have witnessed His goodness, His faithfulness, and His transforming power.
What changed wasn’t just my appearance — it was my heart, my mind, my desires, and my direction.

Surrender didn’t make life easier, but it made it purposeful.
It didn’t make me perfect, but it made me positioned under grace.

To God be all the glory for who I was, who I am becoming, and who I am in Christ. 🤍
Jesus did this.

📖 “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” — 2 Corinthians 5:17

What has God transformed in your life since you surrendered to Him — or what are you believing Him to transform next?
