MLS Senior Spotlight: Amber H.

Amber is a graduating senior who has made such a meaningful impact on our program! She is incredibly empathetic, kind, and caring, always going out of her way to support those around her. Amber is not only a thoughtful and friendly classmate, but also a dedicated and hardworking student. You can often find her putting in the extra hours to reach her goals. Her intellectual curiosity and drive truly set her apart. We are so excited that she is heading to medical school and know she has a bright future ahead. Amber is going to do amazing things, and we can’t wait to see all she accomplishes! 🩺✨

After graduation, I will be attending Medical school at Oakland University William Beaumont!! 🐻

There are way too many favorite memories to pick just one! Specific to MLS, I have really loved our phlebotomy class! I’ve already gotten to know and love my classmates over the years, and my senior year, spring semester phleb class let us bond further. It was a literal trust exercise with each of our peers (letting classmates stick needles in our arms!), and I felt like I got so much closer with everyone throughout the semester. I’m going to miss everyone sooo much!!!!

I will miss the amazing people the most!!! The MLS program is made up of some of my favorite people on campus! I could not have been blessed with better professors or a more dedicated, kind, smart, and fun group of peers (who are now some of my best friends from college). I wish I could take you all to med school with me!! Thank you all for making these last 4 years better than anything I could’ve imagined :)
