Super Gates

Last night cost me $1,500 just to keep my cat alive.

Today? Another almost $2,000 so he doesn’t die from a urinary blockage.

And let me be clear…

I’m not one of the lucky ones.

This is going to hit me later. Hard.

But what was I supposed to do—say no?

That’s the part nobody talks about.

You don’t get time to think. You don’t get a payment plan in your emotions. It’s just:

“Pay it… or lose them.”

And people do lose them…not because they don’t care… but because they can’t afford to care fast enough.

That shouldn’t be a thing.

We talk about healthcare for people (as we should)…
But the animals that sit with us through depression, heartbreak, stress, and everything in between?

They’re treated like a luxury.

If I ever run for president, I’m standing on this too:

Healthcare is a right.
And taking care of the animals that take care of us should be one too.

Because love shouldn’t come with a price tag you can’t survive.
