I did NOT start my business for my kids or to escape the 9 to 5 grind! 😱😱

I started it for ME!

To tell you the truth, I actually liked getting out of the house, having time away from my son (I only had 1 at the time) and going to a job that I truly enjoyed.

I worked part-time nights as a Respiratory Therapist. I was able to still be there for son everyday. Take him to appointments. Go to the park or library whenever we wanted.

But my husband was making a huge career change and we collectively decided that I would stay at home for the time being. And that was great for about 2 weeks… then I started to realize that only staying at home was not for me!

I missed using my adult brain. Being something other than “mom.” And frankly, I missed making money and feeling like I was contributing to our family.

So after doing a lot of research online about work I could do from home I landed on being a VA!

From there I’ve since pivoted into podcast management and have had 2 more boys. All 3 of my boys have become a reason why I continue my biz, but I always remember the real reason I started my biz was ME! I did it for ME!

Why did you start your business? Do you have the same “why” now?

It’s a new month. A new quarter. And new goals to set. But first I wanna celebrate all the freaking WINS!!! 🏆
