Mahalo to the JustServe West Honolulu Volunteer Fair for recognizing the Oʻahu Filipino Community Council (OFCC) on March 7, 2026, as an organization that builds community unity through service and volunteerism. 🤝

Thank you to Honolulu City Councilmember Radiant Cordero (District 7) and the City & County of Honolulu for this recognition!

For nearly 70 years, OFCC has helped strengthen our community through volunteerism, civic engagement, cultural preservation, youth leadership, scholarships, and programs such as the Miss Oʻahu Filipina Scholarship Pageant, OFCC Golf Foundation Scholarship, Adopt-A-Highway on Kalihi Street, and Filipino-American History Month celebrations.

When we serve together, we uplift one another. That’s how strong communities are built. ✨

In its 14th year, the Miss Oʻahu Filipina crowned its 1986 queen, Joyce Mina, at Hilton Hawaiian Village.

As the daughter of former State Representative Ted Mina and Mrs. Gertrude Mina of Kalihi, carried the title with pride and became part of the growing legacy of Filipina leadership on Oʻahu.

Today, more than fifty years since the pageant’s founding in 1973, we celebrate the generations of queens who have shaped this story — like Joyce as she celebrates 40 Years!

What will the next 50 years of Miss Oʻahu Filipina look like?

✨ Applications close in 10 days. The question is… who will be the next queen in our legacy?
